The things schools rarely have budget for.
Most of what we chase is money that already exists and goes unclaimed every year because claiming it takes hours nobody in the building has. Here is what we look for, and the kinds of requests that turn into funded applications.
Professional development
Training, coaching, institutes, and coursework for teachers and instructional staff.
The kind of thing we hear
- Summer institute registration and travel for a team of four
- Year-long instructional coaching from an outside provider
- Graduate coursework tied to a building improvement goal
Conference costs
Registration, travel, lodging, and the substitute coverage that makes going possible.
The kind of thing we hear
- National conference attendance for three teachers plus sub coverage
- State association meeting registration and hotel
- Mileage and meals for regional workshop participation
Paraprofessional support
Training and credentialing for the aides and assistants who hold classrooms together.

- ParaPro assessment prep materials and exam fees
- Crisis intervention certification for classroom aides
- Specialized training for one-on-one student support
New-teacher support
Mentoring, induction, and the first-year costs that drive good people out of the profession.

- Mentor stipends for a three-year induction program
- Classroom setup supplies for first-year hires
- Coaching hours for teachers in their first two years
Certification & endorsements
Exam fees, coursework, and the add-on credentials your building is short of.

- ESL endorsement coursework for three general-ed teachers
- National Board Certification fees and support materials
- Special education certification for a career-changer
Projects & materials
The supplies and project costs teachers are otherwise paying for out of pocket.

We fund needs, not products.If an award pays for training, your school decides who provides it. We don’t recommend vendors and we don’t take a cut of anything.
