What we collect and what we don’t.
This page explains what happens to the information you share with us through the request form, by email, or by phone. The short version: we use it to answer your question and nothing else.
What we collect
When you fill out the request information form, we collect the following:
- Your name and role
- Your school or district name
- Your email address and, optionally, your phone number
- Your state
- Your school type
- A description of what you are hoping to fund
- How you heard about us (optional)
If you contact us by email or phone instead, we retain whatever information you choose to share in that conversation.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to evaluate whether there are grant opportunities that match your situation, to communicate with you about those opportunities, and to prepare and file applications on your behalf if you ask us to.
If we work together on a grant application, we may also use the information to fulfill reporting requirements to the funder after an award.
What we never do
- We never sell your information. Not to vendors, not to other nonprofits, not to anyone.
- We never share it with vendors or product companies. Your school chooses its own providers. We do not make introductions, referrals, or recommendations.
- We never add you to a mailing list. You will only hear from us in direct response to your inquiry or an active grant engagement.
- We never use third-party marketing pixels. There is no Meta pixel, LinkedIn Insight tag, ad retargeting, or similar tracking on this site.
Analytics
If we use analytics on this site, it will be a cookieless, privacy-respecting service such as Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not use cookies for tracking, and we do not build visitor profiles.
How long we keep it
We retain your information for as long as it is needed to respond to your inquiry and, if applicable, to support an active grant engagement. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so within 30 days, except where retention is required for grant reporting obligations already in progress.
Where it goes
Form submissions are sent to a secure, hosted form endpoint and delivered to the Legwork grants team at grants@legworkgrants.org. Submissions are never forwarded to an individual’s personal email or to an address on another organization’s domain.
